It takes between 45 minutes to 7 hours (with a scope of about 20 floor plans) to set up Cisco Spaces from scratch and connect to Basking.

Details
The integration with Cisco Spaces consists of three steps. Please note that the time estimations presented below are estimates ranges based on our experience working with large organizations. The numbers are also validated by Cisco Spaces. The details will usually depend on the scope of the project and the internal processes of your organization.
1) Setup Cisco Spaces
The goal is to have the Cisco Spaces account up and running, including the connector to the data on-prem.
- Get a Cisco Spaces account and licenses for the sites in scope. Please note that the required licenses are EXTEND. The estimated effort for this activity is 0-1 hour. Note: This step does not apply to Cisco customers who have purchased DNA Advantage licenses after 2019.
- Install and configure the Spaces Connector, including the virtual machine and firewall rules required. Please follow the step-by-step DIY setup guide offered by Cisco. The estimated effort for this activity is 30 minutes.
- Validate the connector configuration from the Cisco Spaces cloud. Estimated effort: 10 minutes.
2) Upload the Floor plans/ Map hierarchy into Cisco Spaces
Next general step, we need to make sure the Spaces account knows the location hierarchy and location of the WiFi access points.
- Update the hierarchy in scope by adding the relevant Campuses, Sites, and Floors. This task can be performed in Cisco Prime Infrastructure or on Cisco DNA Center. Estimated effort: 0-5 hours for up to 20 floors.
- For Cisco Prime Infrastructure, the hierarchy can be exported and imported into Cisco Spaces. Estimated effort: 1 hour.
- Since DNA Center has an integration with Cisco Spaces, there are no additional steps required for this option.
3) Activate Basking.io from the Cisco Spaces partner ecosystem
Once the setup in Steps 1 and 2 is completed, enabling Basking in the Sapces marketplace is quite simple.
- Create an account at Basking
- Enable Basking in the Partner marketplace
- Authenticate with Basking
- Select the hierarchy of data to sync with Basking based on the scope of the project
