Headcount Anomaly Detection

The Headcount Anomaly Detection compares the number of employees allocated to the site (HR allocation) vs. Effective Headcount - the number of people actually visiting the site in the past three months.

The Headcount Anomaly Card is one of the anomaly detection cards in Basking’s Live Feed. The goal of the anomaly detection cards is to help you understand if there is something unusual with your site. The Headcount Anomaly card appears on your Live Feed if there is a significant difference between the Effective and Allocated Headcounts for your site.

The goal of this card is to compare and contrast the number of employees allocated to the site vs. the number of people actually visiting the site in the past three months.

What is an Allocated Headcount?

Allocated Headcount represents the number of employees allocated to the site and can be accessed on the Settings page of your site.

What is an Effective Headcount?

Effective Headcount represents the number of employees that regularly visit the office. To be counted as an Effective Headcount, an employee needs to visit the office at least four different weeks over a period of three consecutive months. The frequency and duration of the visits during those four weeks do not matter. Please refer to the Mobility Personas card on your Dashboard to review the Effective Headcount for your site. You can read more about the Effective Headcount here.

What to do if Allocated Headcount > Effective Headcount?

  • Review the Allocated Headcount under the Settings page to check if the number is correct.
  • Understand why many people are not coming to the site.
  • Consider reducing space if your office is underutilized.

What to do if Effective Headcount > Allocated Headcount?

  • Review the Allocated Headcount under the Settings page to check if the number is correct.
  • Understand the Mobility Personas of people visiting the site.
  • Consider optimizing space if your office is overutilized.
