Basking differentiates between static Headcount or Allocations and Effective Headcount
With the introduction of Mobility Personas, Basking also introduced the concept of Effective Headcount.
To understand Effective Headcount, we first need to define the traditional Headcount or Allocations.
Definition of (static) Headcount or Allocations
Traditionally, companies allocate a certain amount of employees to a site. This value is usually static or changes very slowly over time following staff fluctuations.
The Headcount in Basking is a property of a site and can be configured in the site configuration:
Definition of Effective Headcount
In contrast to the traditional Headcount, the Effective Headcount is not static. It depends on how people use the space and represents the number of employees that regularly visit the office.
To be counted as Effective Headcount, an employee needs to visit the office at least four different weeks over a period of three consecutive months. It does not matter how frequent and how short the visits were during those four weeks.
Using Effective Headcount
By comparing your Effective Headcount and your (static) Headcount, you can understand what is the share of employees that are usually going to the office. Mobility Personas expand this further and give you the split by behaviour.
